On Wednesday, we covered Film Genres, and we gave each team the exact same script. They were allowed to pick their own genres to make their movies in. Here was their prompt:
Beargrass Video Camp July 2025 – Genre Assignment
Make a 60-90 second video in the genre of your choice. The video must start with a piece of music and at least 5 different shots (at least 10 seconds total) before the voice over starts. The shots, the filter, and the music should set the tone for the genre you choose.

We are approaching the July camp. We sent a welcome packet to each of the registered participants in Mid-June. We are also linking the welcome packet below. Please read page 1, look at the map on page 2, and print out and sign pages 3 and 4 and send us a copy to beargrassmedia@gmail.com. For people who do not fill out the forms in advance, we will have some printed forms on the first day of camp.
2025 July HCM Video Camp Welcome Packet

HCM and Beargrass Media will be hosting a one week long video camp July 14 – 18, 2025 from 9 AM – 4 PM. (There was an almost identical camp June 23-27, 2025, but may people learn new things even after coming to camp multiple times)
The camp is targeted for students rising into grades 3 – 8 in the fall of 2025.
The cost is $275 per student
The camp will be at Highland Presbyterian Church – 1011 Cherokee Road Louisville, KY 40204. This is a really nice facility with great indoor and outdoor recording spaces.
