FEATURE OF THE WEEK: August 9, 2020

In 2019, the overall winner of the Louisville 48 Hour Film Project was Hex Boyfriend by Boyz House.  This film was modeled after a Goosebumps sort of vibe, and had superb writing, acting, and production.  Following the story of a sad-puppy girl trying to get back at her cheating boyfriend, it takes some fun and supernatural turns which include high and low-tech special effects executed to a Nickelodeon-like perfection.  Watch the interview then watch the movie below.

FEATURE OF THE WEEK: August 6, 2020

What’s in a name?  One of the 48 Hour Film Project required elements is a character name that every team must use in their film.  Don’t shoot the messenger, I don’t pick the names, I just open the envelope and read them.  In 2019, the 48 HFP Headquarters sent Louisville a doozy.  Despite some initial head scratching, everyone rose to the challenge and made the most of a unique choice.

FEATURE OF THE WEEK: August 2, 2020

This week, the feature of the week is the 2019 Award Winner for Best Editing:  T’n’T Productions – Endlich.  The German word “Endlich” means “Finally”, or “At Last”.  This Spy/Espionage film was a psychedelic trip through the eyes of one character in 2 separate worlds being asked to do someone else’s bidding.  The intentionally choppy editing contributed to the disorientation of the characters and the audience.  It was listed as the Top film by one of the judges.

T’n’T Productions are Tess and Tristan Krebs.  Watch the 48second interview and then watch the film.

FEATURE OF THE WEEK: July 26, 2020

This week, the feature of the week is the 2018 Runner Up FIlm “Haunted Pine Valley”  by team Blood Bath, and Beyond (Antonio Pantoja).  One of the best 48 Hour Projects in Louisville history IMHO.

Watch the 48 second interview then watch the film if you dare…
